Special Events Calendar 2013 March 31st & April 1st, 2013 Opening of the Visitors‘ Season The Easter bunny will hide chocolate eggs in the premises – for children of any age. As on each first Sunday of a month, we show the HO model tramway layout. April 21st, 2013 Day of potash mining May 5th, 2013 Veteran Buses Gathering Buses and coaches of private owners on display on the museum premises. Free entry for drivers and co-drivers. May 12th, 2013 Mother’s Day Mothers bringing their child (children) pay half price only. May 25th & 26th, 2013 Model Truck Meeting Large show of radio-controlled trucks and construction machines in full action. Little ones can take a 'Child Driving Test'. From June 22nd - August 4th, 2013 Playmobil Exhibition On the Sundays of this period you see a big exhibition of various theme-related Playmobil motifs. Playmobil is the brand of the No. 2 among European producers of plastic toy-figures and related systems. July 13th & 14th, 2013 7th Old Commercial Vehicles Day Big and not so big veterans of The Road and of The Building Site in the Tramway Museum. Free entry for drivers and co-drivers. August 11th, 2013 18th Vintage Vehicles Gathering Old cars and motor-bikes of many different brands visit the museum. Free entry for drivers and co-drivers. September 7th & 8th, 2013 The Big Little Model Trams (G-scale) Friends of scratch-built model tramcars in 1:22,5 scale (LGB size). The models are four times larger compared to the usual HO/OO scale. September 8th, 2013 Discoverer’s Day of the Hannover Region Once a year, the Hannover Region (a 'Super County' composed of the city of Hannover and the wide urban hinterland) invites all inhabitants and visitors to explore and visit up to 40 different places of interest – backed by extremely low priced public transport day tickets. At 3pm Tram Parade. October 27th, 2013 Autumn atmosphere in the Tramway Museum Special opening times: 11am to 7pm Today, the clocks in central europe are turned back one hour. Illuminated tram ride in the dawn. From 5pm lantern procession for the little ones. Free entry for kids with lantern. Hot spiced wine, waffles and bratwurst in addition to the 'standard menu'. December 8th, 2013 St. Nicholas' Day at the Tramway Museum St. Nicholas is visiting the museum and will be giving out small presents to the children. Drive a Tram yourself! Guided by an experienced tram driving instructor (15 Euro per drive) April 28th, May 19th, 20th & 26th, June 30th, July 28th, August 25th, September 29th & October 20th, 2013. |
